Jesus gave this memorial to call our attention to the price He paid for our sins… death on the cross.
Scripture tells us the early church met together weekly on the Lord’s Day and broke bread (Acts 20:7). In restoring the principles of the early church and obeying Jesus, we take communion weekly.
All followers of Christ are invited to partake. Ushers will dismiss each row and direct you to the tray for your section.
ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN:
At St Joe we consider children to be a gift from God and desire to provide every opportunity for them to learn about the love of Jesus. For the safety of your little ones, all adults leading in these areas have passed a background check and are committed to guiding, protecting and teaching your children.
Nursery is available for children from birth to 2 years, and the Preschool Class is available for 3 and 4 year olds. Both need to be checked in and out by their adult for security purposes.
Jr. Church is available for children age 5yrs – 4th grade. Jr Church is located in Old Church Building. Children will be dismissed following worship and escorted by our Associate Minister of Youth. Following Service they will need to checked out by their adult. *Note: there is no Jr. Church on the 2nd & 5th Sundays of each month, for children to experience full church service.
Children are always welcome to stay in service.
ABOUT BAPTISM:
We believe in baptizing as Christ was , by immersion. This great event is part of a person’s decision to commit his/her life to Christ.
The Bible tells us in Acts 2:38 “Repent and let everyone be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
