I am not sure if you recall during the congregational meeting Dustin and I asking the church to pray for a grant we applied for. Joe just shared with me the following information.
“Dear St Joe Church of Christ:
This email is in response to your Phase 1 Application requesting the opportunity to apply for a grant from the John C. Lasko Foundation Trust. The Trustees are pleased to invite you to submit a Phase 2 full proposal.
Please submit a full proposal for $1,000,000.00 to support the construction of your worship space as articulated in your Phase 1 Application. This full proposal must be delivered no later than January 17, 2025.”
God is moving and has opened a door of opportunity for us! What we need right now is for the leadership of the church to commit to praying about this. Not just a one time prayer, but to commit to lifting up this opportunity to God multiple times.
Matthew 6:30-33 NLT And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.
Phase 2 of this grant application is comprehensive, and will require a lot of work to fulfill the requirements. But our God can and will supply all that we need, if it is according to His will.
1 John 5:14-15 NLT And we are confident that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him. 15 And since we know He hears us when we make our requests, we also know that He will give us what we ask for.
Will you commit to praying about this daily?
•
Pray for the building team to find peace and unity on a direction.
•
Pray for understanding and knowledge as we fill out this application.
•
Pray for the engineer to provide the necessary information.
•
Pray for the church to be supportive and receptive.
•
Pray for God to open each of our eyes and heart to support this process; both financially and physically.
Philippians 4:6 NLT And we are confident that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him. 15 And since we know He hears us when we make our requests, we also know that He will give us what we ask for.
•
Pray with confidence according to His will.
Serving Him together,
The Building Team
